How many times have you heard the expression "The book was much better". Well the book was. Also it's available as a freebie from Project Gutenberg ( www.gutenberg.org/ ) in all popular formats. The movie simply does not do justice to the book and it would have been better had they named it something entirely different and disassociated the two.

the book is wonderful, no film could ever do justice to any wodehouse novel because the narrative voice is what is most important in a wodehouse novel, and you lose that in any film or Tv adaptation. however, Wodehouse himself wrote the screenplay for the film, so i suppose any changes to the original story were acceptable to him.
