You honestly couldn't google if this was out on DVD? As far as its quality, it is the best version of this story.

I just watched it on DVD for the first time and it's one of my favourite movies of all time. The script is excellent and the performances are top-notch, not to mention heartbreaking. A most wonderful film!!

I have this on dvd as part of the Greta Garbo Signature Collection box set (a 10 disc set which includes: Anna Christie / Mata Hari / Grand Hotel / Queen Christina / Anna Karenina / Camille / Ninotchka / Garbo Silents.) I watched it today. Garbo is good and I liked the costumes, but the film drags and isn't very interesting. There are a couple good dramatic scenes that are effective though. 6/10 would be my rating.
