Cheesy but fun movie!

Ray and Heather are cute in this mystery caper. Reginald Denny great comic foil too!

I'm gald to see Ray Milland in one of the Bulldog Drummond series. Reginald Denny is good fun in most of the rest of the series.

I agree this was an interesting movie. It was perfect to watch on a lazy Saturday morning. I liked seeing Ray Milland in it. It's not his usual kind of stuff; at least not what I'm used to seeing him in but I enjoyed him in it. I also enjoyed Heather Angel and the rest of the cast; none of whom I was familiar with prior to seeing this movie. Lots of fun!

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

Agree. These fog-laden cozies could sure squeeze in a lot of story in an hour or so back in them days, so much more preferable to the bloated, homogenized fare we’re served up these days. ‘Escapes’ captures the spirit of a Brit setting well – I thought it was actually made in England till I read the credits a little more carefully. Milland is terrific. Ditto for the supporting cast, especially Porter Hall cast in the unlikely role of bearded villain. A very lightweight but immensely entertaining movie, perfect for watching late at nite on a drizzly evening.
