There are now DVD's of this film floating around on Ebay. However, these are bootlegged imports from Brazil (similar DVD's of Broadway Melody of 1936 are also appearing). These imports will claim that they are legal because the films are in the public domain. These films are NOT in public domain, and have not officially been issued on DVD by Warner Bros. (which now owns the rights to them). These imports are more than likely to be of substandard quality, in both picture and sound (as others have said about the bootleg DVDs of THE PIRATE and THE LONG LONG TRAILER). Warner has already given us two of the four films in the BROADWAY MELODY series on DVD, with OUTSTANDING results. The last two will come in due time, I'm sure. I assure you that it will be worth the wait.

AVOID the bootleg DVDs at all costs!
