I agree, not as good as other Broadway Melody of (fill in date) movies

That was what Broadway was like in '37/'38? Boring, even with those talented actors and dancers. I know Sophie Tucker had quite the act back in the day, but she took up a lot of time in this thing. Mostly shouting 'Broadway! Broadway!! BROADWAY!!!' Yes, so what was the lure of this BROADWAY? Very dated, there are better Broadway Melody of _____movies.
