Singin' in the Rain

The sequence where Eleanor Powell and a man dance in the rain, splashing in puddles and holding an umbrella, reminded me of Gene Kelly's dance. I don't know if this was the first time someone danced in the rain in a movie, but it was done 15 years before Singin' in the Rain, which, of course, does it so much better.
