Marijuana as the bad guy

Of course this movie is a pot hit-piece. That's a given. The movie clearly shows that marijuana leads to weenie roasts, dancing, drunk driving (sans the alcohol of course) and games of, *gasp* charades. But there is also evil lurking within the film: attempted murder and moral turpitude! So if marijuana is the bad guy, why is it that the film depicts pills being used both knowingly and unknowingly in both crimes? Doesn't that kind of nullify the attempted point that pot is bad when all bad things within the film are done under the influence of unknown pills?

The real shame is that this type of propaganda is still to this very day seen as what the norm for marijuana users is. Even though every point has been thoroughly debunked by both government and reputable private entities, they are still being used to perpetuate the prohibition.
