Pretty good feminism vehicle for Kate!

This was a pretty good film!

Overt and even blatant women's rights theme throughout, which Kate champions the whole way and one can't help but cheer for her.

The heavy Victorian moralizing was hard to take. It gave Kate something to rebel against, but ultimately it crushes her.

Beautiful young Katharine Hepburn not quite fully formed as a actress as yet, but still captivating to behold.
