Flora's brother.... (Spoilers)

So, let me get this straight, she can't live without her would-be beau and is willing to defy her mother to elope with him. Yet, upon finding out that the two of them are actually brother and sister, she smiles and walks away without any emotional reaction? She's not shamed by the illicit love the two shared in ignorance or horrified to find out that her ideal is a blood relative? She just accepts at face value that said door is closed and moves on.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm thinking I'd have a rather viceral reaction to finding out that I'd been in an incestuous relationship without knowing about it.

I don't believe it came to that.

When Flora confronted her 'Aunt Pamela' about her suspicions that Pam interfered. Flora says something to the effect that she was not in love but resents the interference. After one dance, the young man was sent packing. There was no incestuous relationship.

You know how it is when you're a teenager and your parents forbids you to do something or see someone. It becomes the forbidden fruit.

Always the officiant, never the bride.
