Has no one else noticed the relationship between Winterset and the Boris Karloff thriller The Walking Dead (also 1936)?.In Winterset,Bartolomeo (John Carradine),in a passage of monologue derived from Vanzetti's actual letter, brands the corrupt judge as a walking dead man. Karloff,similarly framed as Bartolomeo,is revived from the dead after the electric chair to exact his revenge almost the way Son Mio does in WInterset.
