Colour?

The trivia section calls it te 'first Soviet colour film'..
UK readers had a rare chance to catch this on F4 this morning ()ct 2014).. and the version they showed was B&W.
Not that I think it detracted in any way.. But I'm wondering if anyone has seen this in colour.. and were there two versions released?
