Influence on John Ford?

The music, the dancing scene, the ritual scene, the grave scene and the guy who could recite Macbeth(remember the similar guy in My Darling Clementine?). So many Ford's trademarks. This film also reminds me of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre(three guys' journey) and The Wild Bunch(suicidal ending).

Anyway, a wonderful film, probably the most underrated western classic, imho.

It seems to me that this film was more influenyial on John Huston's "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" than on John Ford's later remake of "Three Godfathers."
