A weird little picture--

--to stumble across on broadcast one Saturday night. With no available information other than "MOVIE 11pm-1am" I had to do some creative searches to even figure out what it was.

So apparently its the 70's, when British foax in military surplus, leather and furs were arguing about maintaining their few surviving planes. So OK we got a dark age after a global war. Which was a pretty common post-apocalyptic trend in the 1970s. But this is clearly filmed in the 1930s, which makes the whole premise very weird. And everything I can think to search for brings up actual history, while this is science fiction. "England Britain B&W war planes don't work flying wing dark age" gets me a lot of interesting stuff, but not the name of this damn movie.

Yes it was. I read about it in the book "Science Fiction in the Cinema" published way back in 1970, but had never seen it until tonight on TCM.
