Errol Flynn, Barbara Stanwyck, and Mary Astor in These Three

There's an hour long Lux Radio Theater version of this movie available with the aforementioned stars, and it's really great.

After seeing the movie and recalling those in the starring roles, it seems incongruous that those who starred in the radio version could make it work, considering the parts they played in movies. I don't think Samuel Goldwyn could have come up with a better cast. Other comments on this movie seem to bear out the fact that Merle Oberon was somewhat 'wooden.' I don't think the child actors necessarily steal the show when you consider the superb job done by Miriam Hopkins. There should have been at least two Oscars for this movie, one for Miriam Hopkins and the other for Bonita Granville. Of course, Joel Mcrea does his usual best, and you cannot beat Walter Brennan for comic relief.
