Abraham Lincoln on marijuana

Honest Abe said it best;

"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."

"We'll settle this the old Navy way. First guy to die loses."

Not sure, but high or not, he hit the nail on the head.

"Yes, I'm having difficulty controlling THE VOLUME OF MY VOICE."

Obviously, he wasn't talking about weed, so the title is misleading. But it is, at least, a quote about prohibition which could mean a prohibition of any kind.

Here's another quote from Abe:

"I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races...I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race."

That drunk, dope pedaling Gaybe Lincoln would not have invaded the glorious southern homeland if he had been sane.

reply

Even though Lincoln was on the wrong side during the War for Southern Independence, I gotta admit he was right about the lousy feds forcing prohibition on us.
