Oh Tarzan!

If I wasn't already in love with Tarzan (specifically Weissmuller) I would totally have been after watching this movie. He was about as vulnerable as I've ever seen him. He wept over losing Jane and was willing to be captured if that's what she wanted.

I did think he was too quick to believe she had left him for good and would want him taken like an animal but I'll give him a pass. He was sad, confused, and completely heartbroken.

Okay, that said what really did it for me loving Tarzan was the matter-of-fact way he handled that jerk who had lied to him about Jane and tried to capture and sell him. He did not mess around. He made him go back into the swamp where he was promptly eaten/drowned. Aw too bad!

When Jane's cousin and even Jane herself tried to intervene, he wasn't having it. I find that very sexy in a man; knowing what he stands for and taking charge. Go Tarzan!!
