A Fine Romance

I absolutly love the part when Lucky and Penny go to the mountain for the day and they sing this song. It really showcases Ginger and Fred's amazing chemistry and how comedic they both were.
I love this movie.

And if anybody is interested there is a Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers collection on amazon.com of all of their films and tons of extras (a CD, pictures, etc) for a reasonable price. I just ordered mine and cannot wait to get it.

I agree; despite the comedy of the scene, it has intensely romantic moments. Their onscreen attraction to each other often seemed very real!

I really enjoyed the part when they are at the dance studio. I think that also shows their chemistry between each other. It also shows their more comedic side. I find it amusing how Lucky and Penny argue back and forth with the cop. Then how he follows her to the studio. I also like that he acts so clumsy, and acts like he needs lessons. When in all reality Fred Astaire is the legendary musical dancer. I wish more musicals like this were made today. We don't really see this kind of lighter fairy-tale musical anymore. Audiences now days want to see the deeper and darker side of things. They want to see the more realistic point of view. I really did enjoy "Swing Time."

I just got mine. =] And that would have to be my second favourite scene. My favourite being the whole Never Gonna Dance scene from the moment Fred Astaire walks into the room to the moment Ginger leaves. Beautiful.

But it was soo romantic the way he was trying to resist her and so funny the way Pop kept interrupting and Ginger was getting pissed. xD

I LOVE the Never gonna dance sequence and I think this film is where Fred and Ginger are at their most adorable and most poignant. They really look like they're in love and when they are not in each others arms they are visiably straining at the leash to get into each others arms especially during the A Fine Romance scene.
