It's 1936....get off ya high horse-going to the movie house then was a releif.Who would've cared for such details then.
Flickers were a place to go forget your own life.
Too many are far too critical of the mundane found in the worlds very first moving pictures.
How far the medium has come in a little more than a century.
It's not only this film,but all early films on IMDb that are analyzed-one should learn to sit back and enjoy what was created.Rather than having pen and paper at the ready looking for plot holes,character flaws or the unbeleavable.
Do what the original movie house patron did-escape their own lives for a short time and enjoy themselves

As I say to people who ask me why I can't just enjoy something...

I can.

But I also notice things. As a person with a functioning brain, I have no choice but to. Analysis is the only way in which a text can fully be understood. It doesn't mean you can't enjoy it, but you can think about it too.
