I love the movie and I think the title works. The quotes also don't bother me at all. In fact, I think they're a nice touch. Ching Ching was raised in China so it's nice to see that she speaks the language fluently and knows something about the culture.
The quotes make Ching Ching seem wise beyond her years. She always has the right quote to fit whatever situation they're in. Still, she's a helpless little girl who needs to be cared for.
It's adorable to see such a tiny little package always so full of energy, joy, and happiness. She has nothing, no one, and she's already been through a lot in her short life yet she's always so loving and kind. Like Tommy and Susan, who wouldn't fall in love with her?
