Anyway...it you like Small Town Girl you would probably like The Doctor Takes a Wife (1940)
It's a similar cute old black-N-white romantic comedy...
The plot is: A man-hating author and a woman-hating doctor have to pretend they're married when there are rumors of their marriage and each stands to gain from the mistake.
Starring Loretta Young, Ray Milland, Gail Patrick, Reginald Gardiner, Edmund Gwenn.
There are also similarities to "Christmas in Connecticut".

It's a cross between "It Happened One Night" and "The Long Long Trailer"
