None of these are colorized. They were made using the colour photography process invented by Frederick Ives in the 1880s, which you may read about in this fascinating magazine article from 1897: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/forgottenfutures/krom/kromskop.htm

I think I may have seen these, there are also stereograms and movies online of this event, some in color too.

My grandmother was 11, tossed out of bed by the earthquake. She thought her sister was pulling a prank.
