Could Do Another Shot At The Real Story

I saw the movie Earthquake in the theaters in the 70's. It was a real ham fest and suffered having to fit the "Cool Effect" that many movies of that era suffered. Those putting the movies out had sort of a Mod Squad mentality and seemed to think they had to make them hip....They always missed by a mile.

One thing the old movie did well was scare the hell out of people like me who live in the flatlands that never have earthquakes. They had the audio set just right so when the earthquake happened in the movie the low end of the speakers made the whole theater vibrate like a real earthquake ( They didn't use it on the west coat because it caused panick)

Between the great CG and better audio they could really make one hell of a scary adventure. As long as they had a good back story that's historically accurate

Oh! No opra singing in a new version. It'd have to be a different story of sorts without opra. Maybe a singer and stage actor or something. I had to zip through that opra because those high note give me a headache
