I love the friendship between these two and how Father Mullin is the only one who knows Blackie has a good heart and soul underneath his tough and harsh exterior. Gable and Tracy had wonderful chemistry in this and you really believe their friendship.

Glad you liked the film too. Gable and Tracy were friends in real life and I believe their real life chemistry shows on screen. I love the relationship between Father Mullin and Blackie because they've been through so much together and Mullin knows that beneath his tough exterior Blackie has a heart and is a good person.
