shareIt's Charles Hawtrey of course - he was in several of Will Hay's wonderful comedies at the time. Will Hay's scriptwriters were in the office next door to Hitchcock at the studios. Michael Redgrave does an impression of Will Hay in The Lady vanishes when they find Miss Froy's glasses.
shareYes, it was Hawtrey - he is listed, uncredited, in IMDB as a cast member of this film. He was 22 in 1936, but I thought he looked younger.
