What film plays in the theater (of the man at the fireplace)?

We see and hear a bit of film -- not Who Killed Cock Robin?, but a live action film -- in which a man burns something in a fireplace while remarking, "All our troubles are over." What film is this?
Thanks.

Apparantly, it was BARTHELEMEW, THE STRANGLER, which isn't a real film...probably a stray piece of film, was used for the scene.

I'm the kind of guy, when I move - watch my smoke. But I'm gonna need some good clothes though.

The man is Robertson Hare, a contract player for Gaumont British. The clip is real, I just can't figure out which movie it's from. It's not "Car of Dreams" (1935) or "Friday the Thirteenth" (1933) movies that I own. Just it'd be before or in 1936.
