Where was the second bomb?


The bomb maker told the police he had a bomb; but I never saw where it was. Could the second bomb have been in the bird cage his daughter was worrying about? If not, why would he have been carrying a bomb? How could he have concealed such a large bomb?

It was just a ploy to buy him some time as he was caught.

No, I think there was a second bomb in the birdcage itself. Why he put it there, I don't know.

That must be. Plastic explosives that could be shaped and painted had been around for a long time before the 1930s.

Aside from general loopiness, the man might have intended to get rid of Verloc, maybe the only link to his own involvement (outside of his daughter).
