Beautiful June Lang

was only 18 years of age when The Road To Glory was filmed. Final retakes were shot in May 1936, and she would not have her nineteenth birthday until the following month -- June! No wonder she looked so fresh and sweet!

One of my few complaints about this picture is that her outfits were clearly 1930's styles rather than those of the nineteen-'teens. The other nurses shown wore dresses and hairdos appropriate to the era. A common, intentional error in movies of the thirties. I guess the studios didn't think it was good busines to show leading ladies dressed like their mothers in old photos.
