Running times

Anyone know why this movie has 3 running times? 72 min (fox VHS also) , 75 mins, and 79 mins (and this seems to be the print time TCM just aired) what is missing from the 72 min ver? and why is this the only Temple film Fox has not made avb on DVD?

Most reel features tended to be filmed at 24 frames per second.

NTSC (?) television runs at 30 ish frames per second, extra frames being added in the conversion in order to get the playing time right. But NTSC DVDs can be 24 ish fps?

PAL television runs at 25 fps. A frame can be addded each second to keep the playing time right Some DVDs do not bother to add the extra frame and just run the whole thing faster. One way gives the cinema playing time, approx, and another has a shorter playing time.

72, 75, 79. What happens if one tries dividing or multiplying by 24 / 25? divide or multiply by 24 / 30 would be outside a + or - 5% spec in a big way.

So there is also 24 divided by 1.001, 30 divided by 1.001.

There is also different playing time due to deleted scenes?

I have a DVD, www.fox.co.uk Colourised. Dutch, French and Italian subs. 76 minutes.
