Gas Station Scene

Early in the movie there is the gas station scene. If you notice the outside, there is a sign with the price of gasoline. The price was 95.9 !!! Granted that would be a bargain nowadays, but in 1936 gas would have been around 20 cents a gallon, and probably less. I wonder what was up with that sign--I replayed the video just to be sure I was seeing correctly. Even the final "9" on the sign was small like they still do today. Was someone playing a joke, or what?

Noticed that. Maybe 95.9 is the Octane Number?
