This short bears a very strong resemblance to a two-reeler called "Show Business" made by Hal Roach in 1932 starring Zasu Pitts and Thelma Todd.

It was also re-made in 1947 as Training for Trouble with Gus Schilling and Richard Lane doubling up in the Stooges roles. It was almost scene by scene with minor changes for two actors rather than three.
