It wasn't as bad as the reviews

I just saw this movie and I think it was decent, comical, and very true. There were several cutting/editing interruptions, but overall, the story is there and it's entertaining.

Just watching Fanny confess to Eddie she wants to get married, and he telling her off was sad.

Also, the addiction on the drug was funny. Especially Jane, when she cannot believe she was taking dope, but then wants more.

Did you guys enjoy it?

I saw it from the Girls Gone Bad DVD set.

Having people singing was kind of weird.

I was some what surprised that it was as accurate as it was with the effects of cocaine, especially in its initial use. Unlike Refer Madness, which shows people getting unhinged rather quickly from its use, the cocaine effects on its users in this film are subtle, true to form with cocaine. Also, the depths of which cocaine ruins people's life are not really exaterated either, as anybody who is familiar with the drug knows.

"Can I have any more of those headache powders?"
"Headache powders, why, my poor sap, hasn't it tumbled upon you that those headache powders are dope?"
"Dope? You mean I've been taking dope?"
"Dope, cocaine!"
"Aaaaaah!"
"The kid catcher..."
"Nick, it isn't true. You haven't been giving me dope? ... I hate you, I hate you!"
"You're just nervous and upset again. Have some of this... You take that back about hating me"
"Just give it to me, give it to me!"

I've seen nearly every "drug/morality" film around. This one is good! Although I've never done coke... I find this film to be... At least believable... Over Reefer Madness... Which is SUCH a joke!

Trust me,

My, you're nosey, aren't you?
