Worst Jimmy Stewart Movie Ever.
Oh my God what a waste of time and film.
shareMaybe you haven't seen Pot o' Gold.
I thought the movie was pretty good, but it just never quite took off. The characters were a bit too idealized and generic to be believable. The pacing was slow. And then there's the business toward the end of Jimmy Stewart dying, which seemed arbitrary and contrived. I liked seeing Margaret Sullavan and Stewart together again after having watched their wonderful 1940 film, A Shop Around the Corner. But this movie certainly paled next to that one.
