What is the deal with the runtime?

I just finished watching this and loved it. But my DVD (Artificial Eye) has a runtime of 68 minutes but on IMDB and the different Youtube uploads with the film, it seems to be four minutes longer.
Can anyone explain this?

I can't explain it, but I can confirm that the version in the Eclipse box set of Mizoguchi films has a run time of 71 minutes.
