Charlie was 29 years old when he wed Mildred Harris; she was 17.

He was 35 years old when he wed Lita Grey; Lita was 16.

He was 47 years old when he wed Paulette Goddard; Paulette was 26.

He was 54 years old when he wed Oona O'Neill (Oona Chaplin); Oona was 17.

Paulette was an old maid compaired to his other wives!

LOL. Fortunately, after they divorced, she married other remarkable men such as Burgess Meredith and Eric Maria Remarque, and led a fascinating life. I think a proper bio on Ms. Goddard is yet to be written. Hope it will happen sooner than later.
