Why does this have to be issued as part of a collection?

Why doesn't Turner, or Warners, or whoever has the rights to an official release, issue it as a single DVD on its own? What if we don't want the other items in the collection?

Other items in other collections - "The Errol Flynn Collection", "The Bette Davis Collection" are available on their own. Why not this one?

I'm aware my comment is 5 years late, LOL, but just in case... I recently bought the DVD separately from an Amazon external seller, since I wasn't interested in the westerns featured in the John Ford boxed-set; therefore, I got this one, The Lost Patrol and The Informer. Finally, it cost me as much as if I had bought the boxed-set itself, but at least it occupies less room in my shelf.
