2009 DVD release in box set with 19 other public domain titles.

Purchased a DVD box set last week at Big Lots (in Central PA) for $6.00 called "Family Classics", released in 2009 by Mill Creek Entertainment. It contains a decent copy of "Little Lord Fauntleroy". The box says: "This Collection includes 20 Family Movies Digitally Re-Mastered on 4 DVDs". Bear in mind that the remastering was done from public domain copies of these movies so the quality will not be the same as from a major studio, but the price makes it a worthwhile investment, and it contains the complete 98-minute version of this film, referenced here at IMDB. (The actual running time clocked on my Blu-ray player was 101+ minutes.)

The set is a collection of movies and television movies that are all in public domain, and is a mixed bag. Other films in the set: Africa Screams (1949), The Borrowers (1973), Captain Kidd (1945), A Christmas Without Snow (1980), Coach of the Year (1980), Father's Little Dividend (1951), Flying Deuces (1939), Gulliver's Travels (1939-Animated), The Inspector General (1949), Jack and the Beanstalk (1952), The Jungle Book (1942), The Little Princess (1939), Long John Silver's Return to Treasure Island (1954), The Magic Sword (1962), The New Adventurs of Heidi (1978), The Over-the-Hill Gang (1969), The Over-the-Hill Gang Rides Again (1970), The Pied Piper of Hamelin (1958), The Son of Monte Cristo (1940).
