and corny at the same time, but so what? Its nearly 80 years old and as close to a swashbuckler as America had back then. There is more than one novel in which Natty Bumpo has his adventures, but the movies didn't choose to enshrine them on film. I've seen all the versions, even the silent 1920 one which is quite good as well, but this is the first sound version and still much fun. Don't pass it by!
