Betsy book

When I was in high school, we were assigned to read a biography for a book report. I found a book in the bio section entitled Bewitching Betsy Bonaparte.It must have been pretty enthralling to have stuck with me for 45+ years. I specifically remember reproducing the book cover's elegant title in script for the cover of my report (and actually may have it still tucked away in a box in the attic!) I thought the story hopelessly tragic and romantic (hey...I was 14.) I find it almost unbelievable that I was not familiar with the movie Hearts Divided, especially considering my long love affair with old cinema. I'm watching it now on TMC and finding it delightful, if rendered even more fictional based on the extra characters and the lack of a French accent out of Dick Powell...and the thoroughly British one from Napoleon.
