Trial broadcast on radio

Did they allow trials to be broadcast on radio in those days??? I know for years cameras in court rooms were banned.

Yes. I had heard some of the broadcasts from the Lindberg kidnapping trial.

The Lindbergh kidnapping trail was broadcast on the radio and filmed for the newsreels. The result was a circus like atmosphere that led to a ban on such coverage until 1977 when PBS was allowed to televise a real murder trial in Florida.
