Forget the murder of his faith in justice or his country...

Those bastards killed Toto! Bruce Cabot can get a pardon because he was in King Kong, but go ahead and hang the other 21 assailants. Yes, I realize I'm completely ignoring the message of the film (and attributing the fictional crimes to the real actors). Still, it's a shame about the dog.

Great film, btw.

I thought that dog looked like Toto and then looked it up and found out it was the same dog. Also, that Judy Garland took her home for a while and wanted to keep her.

Killing Toto is reason enough to hang them!

I agree about killing Toto being reason to hang them.

I was stunned when Katherine tried to compare Joe to the 22. He was merely going to permit them to hang for something they not only believed they did, but were quite proud of when they did it. They, on the other hand, roasted him alive, and blew up his dog, murdering it in front of him. There's just no comparison between that physical violence, and a mere guilty conscience.

The enormity of their crime, regardless of the fact that they didn't succeed in one aspect of it, should make them eligible for the maximum penalty in their jurisdiction, in my opinion. If that's hanging, so be it.

My thoughts exactly.

I don't pray, really, because I don't want to bore God.
