I have read that this is the best serial of all and I have read that Captain Marvel is the best. I have a collection of over 80 classic cliffhanger serials. None can beat the original Flash Gordon serial. It will forever remain in my heart as the best scifi classic of the black and white era and the best cliffhanger serial. All of the actors and actresses played their parts to perfection.

Yes, absolutely! This definitely is the best cliffhanger serial of them all....even is 'right up there' as one of the best science fiction 'films'. Always exciting, cool villians, beautiful Jean Rogers....excellent!
shareI haven't seen a whole lot of cliff hangers, but I can't imagine any being better than this one. It moves at a terrific fast pace and all the characters are delightful.
I think it is one of the top five science fiction films:
