One of the all time great character actors, I especially enjoyed him in his police inspector roles, as in this one. I also remember him as Knobby Walsh in the Joe Palooka movies of the 40's.

I'm the kind of guy, when I move - watch my smoke. But I'm gonna need some good clothes though.

James Gleason is such a favorite of mine!

He was really great in Meet John Doe. And so many other roles!
