Walter Huston

Walter Huston was such a charming man - I think I'm in love!! Any other movies he made that are this good? I've seen the Treasure of the Sierra Madre and he's fantastic in that as well.

I agree! He was amazing, may he rest in peace...

You should check him out in The Devil and Daniel Webster (he plays the devil), the gawdawful The Outlaw, and in Yankee Doodle Dandy. He'll make you cry in the last one...

Beast Of The City (1932) is a good starring role for Huston. Also a good Jean Harlow vehicle and a rare chance to see ubiquitous Wallace Ford before he grew a beer gut.

I haven't yet seen Law And Order (1932), but it is said to be an "exceptional western" (Leonard Maltin) with Huston in the lead.

Also check out Lewis Milestone's superb World War II thriller Edge Of Darkness (1943). Errol Flynn is top-billed, but Walter Huston dominates the picture.
