short (pretty good) quota-quickie film

pity that this was one of the "quota shorties" made at Teddington studios (due to britain's Cinema Films Act of 1927, to keep them involved in making films)... this was the third time Powell had directed patric knowles, and Powell had done tons of longer talkies, so he probably could have juiced it up and added some twists and turns who-dunnit-style. Sound and picture quality are quite good, which is unusual for british films from this period.
