Remember the Gypsy's warning...

As Alf the foreman leaves Chris in charge on the day that Mr. Stevens is out sick, he says, "Remember the gypsy's warning!"

I looked it up, and found that on p. 16 of the book The Luminaries by Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas, the gypsy's warning is given as:

Even a man who is pure at heart
And says his prayers at night
May become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms
And the Moon is full and bright.

I just thought you might like to know, since I was wondering, too.

I know I'm a bit late to the party but I can't let that little piece of misinformation stand uncorrected. The above verses were written specifically for the 1941 movie The Wolfman. Do you see the problem in having a character in a 1935 film reference them? (Besides the verses would make no sense at all in the context of this film.)
