Take Off From Alameda

When the Clipper is leaving on the first leg of the Pacific flight, there is a shot from above the place and the piers of San Fransisco are visible below. Also visible is the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge. This bridge opened for traffic in November 1936.

The movie was released in 36, so the footage used was from early in that year or before. The shot used shows a section of roadway yet to be completed on the bridge. Not sure if this was shot for the movie, or if stock footage was used, but I thought it interesting to see a historic view of the construction still in progress.
