A very good Chan film made even better by the dramatic opera scenes. The music was great, Karloff had such a great spooky presence, especially on the stage.

Don't forget, the "Carnival" opera music was composed for this movie by pianist/composer/author/TV personality, Oscar Levant. Levant was the premier interpreter of his friend, George Gershwin's, music.
