Joan Blondell at her steamiest!

The scene where Bogart tells Joan that he's going to get back her numbers racket for her. She says "Go ahead, take it." And Bogie gives her a lustful kiss. Joanie slaps him, but not until after she let's the kiss sink in. Hard to believe this scene got past the censors.

And Ms. Blondell was quite a worker. Just from 1930 through 1934, she's credited with appearing in 35 features and 4 shorts! And who knows how many radio appearances she did. Her fellow Warners contractee, Lyle Talbot, from his debut in 1931 through 1935, is credited with 36 features and 2 shorts. Only his voice is heard in "42nd Street" and his scenes were dropped from "Parachute Jumper."

May I bone your kipper, Mademoiselle?
