I was just cast in my high school's production of Anything Goes and I was cast as the Captain, I was wondering if the captian sang at all during the play? any info you have would be helpful thanks
no, the captain doesn't sing.
shareMy high school is currently doing the show and the captain DOES have a two line singing role in the song "Public Enemy Number One". Maybe it's just some versions, I don't know. But the captain does sing in our production.
shareI know this post is a little out of date but the captian isn't on of the main characters that sing. He can sing in the chorous though.

yep, i'm too late too, but this was probably the "funnest" play i've ever been in. i played hope harcourt. we did kind of a cut version where everyone sang "anything goes" and all the solo lines in the song were mixed up...it basically depends on what version you're doing
shareI have yet to read the entire script through yet, since we just got them today. But I believe the captain may have a line or two of vocals, like some of the designated ensemble.
Live each day like it is your last. Because you never know what will happen.
In the version my school is doing, he does sing a few lines.
