The absolute best of all the wonderful Thin Man movies!

Not so much for the actual story, but it is the fabulous character actors that made the movie so great! I totally loved Jessie Ralph as Aunt Katherine! Penny Singleton as Polly! Elissa Landi as Selma! All of them are just perfect in their roles, too many to mention by name. Jimmy Stewart played David to the hilt with his feigned innocence. The old relatives at Aunt Katherine's dinner were priceless! All the casting was absolutely perfect!!

I agree with the exception of Elissa Landi. She seems to me to be playing Selma to a theater full of people rather than a camera.
My favorite supporting actor after repeated viewings is Sam Levine.
